A shrine nested atop the tallest hill in the forest, build by one of the inhabitant families of the forest in memory of their deceased daughter. A kind spirit is believed to guard the shrine and bless those who come up there to pray.

The most populous settlement in the forest. It is quite literally an assortment of treehouses reaching high into the leaves. At night it glows a crisp auburn. The people there are nice and homely, letting weary travelers stay if needed.

Board Description
Maeko Forest
It is not a forest as much as a park, a massive, peaceful break from the metropolis. The leaves seem to glow a heavenly purple, bioluminescence twinkling in the deep of the underbrush. A few people have chosen to live in the forest, treehouse neighborhoods displaying archaic forms of the city's architecture. The end of the all thresholds seems to come before the end of the forest.
